Our 200hr YTT is hosted by a multiple of yoga studios in New York, Denver, Florida, Montana, Virginia, and Canada. We offer YTT in 3 different formats: an intensive that meets on m-f from 10a-2p for 6.5 weeks, an evening YTT that meets on (m) & (w) or (m) & (th) from 5:30p-9:30p for 16-weeks, and an 8-weekend training that meets every other weekend. Ashtanga yoga is the vinyasa process as created by K. Pattabhi Jois. The Primary Series is called yoga chikitas, meaning yoga therapy, because of the cleaning and toning effect it has on the body and mind. Come to learn more about this eight-limb process of traditional yoga using method of synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of 41 asanas, and the use of drishti. These 3 elements being used together form the trinity of yoga in Sanskit called the tristhana.

Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga has taken the community by storm! It combines traditional poses with the fun twist of executing them while balancing on a floating paddleboard.  SUP yoga adds an exciting new and challenging experience that isn’t available in an indoor yoga studio.  Enjoy the sun on your face and match the rhythm of your breath with the ebb and flow of the water. Join Robin and Phil for some fun in the sun!!

In this training participants learn:

  • paddleboard technique, handling and maneuvering for the SUP beginner
  • basic water safety, seamanship and rescue procedures to ensure the safety of all
  • how to develop and modify sequences that are SUP yoga friendly
  • industry insight on the SUP yoga business including how to market and purchase products and equipment

Training Requirements:

  • Participants must be able to swim and have a 200hr YTT certificate.
  • Yoga instructors receive 7 CE’s with the Yoga Alliance
  • In the case of inclement weather the training is pushed back in the day or moved to Sunday. Safety must come first!
  • Participants are responsible for supplying their own board or they be rented from the launch sites.

Welcome to the Ākāsá (uh-kuh-shuh) yoga class with the Always-At-Aum Yoga School. This class has been created as a safe place for survivors of any type of abuse or assault and for people who struggle or have struggled with any type of addiction or trauma to their body, mind, or spirit. The purpose of the class is to practice yoga together and to have any opportunity to share our reflections with one another while keeping the focus on ourselves. Through yoga, we yoke (join) our mind with our body to assist with healing empowering participants to live full lives.

Ākāśa is 1.5hrs consisting of a 45-minute yoga practice suitable for all levels and fitness levels, followed by the opportunity to share on a topic that was chosen by a qualified instructor at the beginning of the class.
